SoundSmith v1.0 was originally going to be commercial, but that fell
through.
The incomplete version of that was released as shareware as v1.01.

He's working on SoundSmith Mac.

What you get if you pay your SoundSmith fee:
1) SoundSmith 1.01 (available on cco.caltech.edu)
2) Tool219
3) Text file describing how to use Tool219
4) ASIF conversion utility (use AudioZap instead!)
5) SoundSmith songs

If you want to play SoundSmith songs there is Lizard's code to do it, which
is slightly better than Tool219, and there is MegaTracker which is MUCH
better than both, but not freely available.
