I say...you're darn right you can. I currently have a LaserJet IIP Plus
connected to my GS. If you want to investigate a new, under $500 laser
printer (maybe higher in Australia) check out the Okidata OL400e. In the
US, it has a "street price" of approx $475. With a set of GS/OS printer
drivers (Vitesse's Harmonie or Seven Hills' Independance) it's "plug and
print.

Otherwise, simply look at any HP LJ II/III series (or 4L) or compatible.
