NCS ProDrive and 3.5" Drive problem

	I know someone who has a GS and has been having drive problems,
possibly a result of the power supply scheme that the drive uses, here's
the setup:
	GS Rom 01, RamFast SCSI rom3 revD, 4 meg GSRam by sequential, 
	NCS ProDrive 80 meg, one 3.5" drive, no other drives
 
	The RamFast is in slot 7, and is connected via a 25 pin<>centronics
to the NCS ProDrive.  The ProDrive is getting its power via a special
cable that connects to the smartport <it is connected to the back of the 
3.5" Drive right now>.
 
	The problem is that the 3.5" drive <which was working fine previously
on a different GS> is now starting to not be able to read and/or write
correctly to disks.  The ProDrive also seems to have intermittent read/write
problems.  Suspecting that the power<>smartport cable that the ProDrive
uses might be the problem we traced the pinouts as follows:

NCS pin1  <>  smartport pin8      <+12 vdc>
NCS pin2  <>  smartport pin3/pin4 <gnd/drive select>

	My question is this the correct pinouts for this cable, and if not
what are the correct pinouts???  Also, could the ProDrive be drawing too much
power out of the smartport, thus causing the problem???  or am I way off
base and there is some other reason???
