Re: The Manager: is it really useful?

Interesting that MultiGS has been on ccosun and no pro or con
posts about it. I have tried the Manager the SwitchIt demo
and found them both to be inferior to MultiGS. MultiGS is freeware
and I have been able to only crash it on purpose. The Manager crashes
unpredictably, probably because of an INIT conflict or somesuch. Since
MultiGS has no INITs, just an application (which happens to be 1/2 of
TM's size), it seems to be better just in that aspect. You cannot
set applications in MultiGS (like have the Finder startup like in The
Manager), but I don't mind point-and-clicking some extra times.

I don't have as much experience with SwitchIt since I only got to toy
with the demo (TM got a workout at my user's group), but it doesn't
multitask. I think I'm going to shell out the bucks for GNO before
SwitchIt.
