I am having difficulty reading an Apple Works DataBase file.
First of all it will not let me load the file--saying:
"Getting errors trying to read <filename>"
Secondly, I went into CopyII+ and issued the VIEW TEXT command, it said:
"I/O ERROR: BLOCK $6F0B"
Thirdly, I used the sector editor and cleared TRACK $06 SECTOR $0C.
By doing this I was able to view the database file as a text file, but
was still unable to retrieve it within AW as a Data Base file (system froze).
A weird thing about TRACK $06 SECTOR $0C--the first byte of data is "$6F"
the same number found in "I/O ERROR: BLOCK $6F0B"...The second byte of
data is "$77" and if I replace "$6F" with "00" the I/O ERROR changes
to "I/O ERROR: BLOCK $7777"
Any clues?
