The reason had more to do with Sierra moving to 256 colour mode, and that
an unaccelerated GS couldn't deal with that (which is true).
As for your comments w.r.t. music, the score to KQIV is wonderful on the
GS. Sierra has had and has very good composers for their KQ series. Try
listening to the KQVI CD-ROM version for the PC. It's a real shame that
Sierra couldn't continue with GS support. They barely support the Mac.
In fact Sierra has been very good to GS owners in providing their games
through BRCC at a very reasonable cost, and also in allowing platform
changes for a nominal fee.
Sierra is hardly to blame for dropping GS support. We all know why that
happened...
