Re: SCSI HD question

Just about all ""external Mac Hard Drives"" will work on the IIGS. I am
using a LaCie Zip 120mg HD (SCSI) You can find great prices in the Mac
Magazines. As far as internal drives, you must use one that was designed
for the IIGS (there has only been two or three made that I know of) None of
the Mac internal HD units will fit into a IIGS. You will have to limit
yourself to a IIGS designed internal HD. As for my self I think better
values can be found in the Mac or IIGS external drives. Also they add no
heat problems to the IIGS case. All the IIGS made internal drives if I
remember tho did have built in fans and bigger power supplies. If you look
in the for sale section on some of the boards, AOL, etc., you may find a
used smaller hd by somone who has up-graded to a larger unit. I see buys on
40mg units all the time on the boards in the area of $125.00 Ernie
