Thanks Joe.  I did send the post as email to Randy Brandt on Genie.
He promptly replied with helpful comments.  His main advice was I needed
Total Control 2.1.1 to work with Double Data 2.0.  He was sending that
out _immediately_, and would I be so kind as to send a check for $8 upgrade
at my convenience.  Wow, that is great support!  He assured me that others
are using aw3/dd/tc/um successfully.

In the meanwhile, I will try Peter Hinchliffe suggestions for installation.

PS  Randy said Quadriga will be even more awesome than the aw3/dd/tc/um
combo.  :-)
