Jasmes McBride wrote that the last Apple ][ he wsaw was a ore-1982 IIe.
There must be an errotr here because my back issues of InCider stated that
the IIe was introduced in mid-1983!   Also, James asked whether the II
series is still in production.  The IIgs was discontinued last year,
but the platinum IIe(with numeric keypad) is still on the Apple price
