Port list

(Posted through info-apple, so hopefully it will appear on csa2p.)

OK, I mentioned this a few months back, but no one took up the
suggestion, so I'll do it myself.

Yet Another Information List:

In the interests of reducing the reinvention-of-the-wheel, I would
like to compile a listing of all programs or library packages being
ported from other platforms. (Once they are completed, I will list
them if they are not already listed in James Brooks' (sp?) utility
list for Gno.)

It is my hope that we can thus avoid two people unintentionally working
on the same project, and provide a way for programmers to get debugged
routines that have already been completed for another software package.
This is obviously oriented to those doing this as a hobby rather than
making commercial ports.

Of particular interest is anything ported from the GNU (bleah, what a
headache) project and/or anything that uses Gno. It is _not_, however,
limited to items that require Gno.

The information I would like is:

Name of program or library package.
Name and email address of the person doing the port.
Status (planned, trying to fix the XXXXX bug, waiting
compiler upgrade, doing docs, whatever. Preferably
more than "it's available Real Soon Now". Also,
"complete" is acceptable if it's not in James Brooks'
		list.)
