I don't think there is a problem here. I believe that ClarisWorks has the
necessary extend files to do the translation. If your friend has System
6.0 or higher, he could put them on a Mac disk, if not he can use Apple
File Exchange to put the files on a Mac disk.

The //e card isn't necessary for translation, however the card does come
with an init that would allow him to mount a ProDOS disk directly to the
Mac Finder (which would be convienient).
