Geez, that's a pretty expensive upgrade path. I paid a total of
$140.20 Cdn for my upgrade kit, which includes (from my invoice):
1 W65C816SPL-E CPU
4 62256-15 (15 ns, 32k*8 SRAM's)
1 48 MHz TTL oscillator
1 14-pin IC socket (for the oscillator)
That price includes $5 shipping. It came in a nice foam-lined box
via UPS to my door. This was a one-time deal from Terry Steeper though
(who ordered all the parts for about seven of us). Of course, you have
to install it yourself, but I can get it done for free at our
usergroup's Hardware SIG tomorrow. 12 MHz, here I come... :)
