I have used the Apple2 card on LC's for a long while and have had no
trouble finding the hard drive or internal 3.5 floppy when booting off
the 5.25 inch drive, what software are you using?
Also, I think the system comes set up for the hard drive as S5,D2 and
the 3.5 inch as S5,D1 though you can change them at will in the setup
menu.
If the disk you boot from in the 5.25 inch drive is DOS 3.3 it won't
recognize the 3.5inch or hard drive, only ProDOS and Apple Pascal 1.3.
