Agreed, and I would just love to have my messages sent from a local host,
rather than to have to pay long-distance for the GEnie lamp to be sent
(unwillingly) to me. 

Bottom line, if you want the lamp, join GEnie or get it from another source
please. Why should I have to spend MY money for something you want, and I do
not?
