The FST will allow you to read them if GS/OS can "see" the drive in the first
place.  With RamFAST, it's automatically done ( no additional drivers 
needed ).  For Apple ][ DMA or rev. C card, you need to pick up Richard
Bennett's freeware floptical drivers.
