Please note that SOFTPC is already available for most Mac Machines. It's
not anything really that new. It is probably being ported to run more
native Power-PC, not being re-written.

Because, as it has been stated before, this is not the direction Apple is
going with their Product Line. Which word don't you understand?
> A II emulation would be easy
I hardly think so. If it so easy, buy a Power PC when they come out and
write a IIgs Emulator and prove me wrong. The 65816 might be doable, but
not all the memory shadowing and idosynchrasies of the IIgs. You can't
duplicate that much hardware in Software.

Like Matt and Dave don't have better things to do with their time at Apple.
It's not like everybody out there is looking for weird little projects that
would be un-important to the company to propose with the projected lay-offs
coming. Be realilistic.
> (little R&D $$$).
Please note here that little != none. Apple won't ever fund a project like
this. They have said so over and over again. Don't get your hopes up.
> But then, Apple doesn't always do the sensible thing.
Apple may not always do the things that we "The Rabid Apple II Users" want.
We fanatics are all that are left. Anybody who was going to jump ship on
the Apple II did a long time ago, you can't expect Apple to change their
business plans for the personal gratification of about 500 hackers (at the
most). Sure, there are tons people out there that still use Apple IIs, but
these are also the people who have IIgs System 3.1 running on their system,
and think DOS 3.3 is better than ProDOS. They aren't on the front line of
computers, and therefore they don't ask Apple for the kind of support we
fanatics do.
