Harmonie v2.1 update

Previously I had posted that a person at Vitesse had told me that the only way
to get a bug fix version of the LaserJet III driver was to buy the whole
$14.95 US update.

Well, I called today to order the darn thing and got a different person (I had
been calling many times).  After I ordered it, I felt compelled to tell the
person WHY I was ordering it.  He put me on hold, and came back to tell me
that I didn't have to order the upgrade for the one bug fix!  Wonderful
revelation!

So the deal is this - if you have a GENIE or America Online account, they'll
e-mail it to you;  all others must send in their original disk with two
dollars, and they'll mail back the disk with the fixed driver (though, of
course, there are more bugs that weren't tackled).

I'm sure some of these bug fix things apply to other drivers as well, so give
them a call and see what they can do for you. :)

On a side note, I was told, after asking, that the Vitesse StyleWriter driver
has been in beta testing for about three months and is likely to be in beta
testing for another three to four months.  The person said the driver was a
real hair puller and that Harmonie v2.1 was too.  Finally, he told me that the
driver would only support the first StyleWriter, and that there were many
Stylewriter I printers and, as others have already pointed out, the
Stylewriter II is a whole 'nother ball game.
