Re: WANTED: 4meg GS Memory card

For the ebst deal in memory cards, call Resource-Central. They have the 4meg Sequential Systems 4meg RAM card for $140. Best deal around. Not expandable to 8 like the CVtech card, but I for one dont need that much (yet).

You can't chain a SCSI device to the Vulcan. Despite AE's claims that they have a "proprietary" SCSI method, what they actually did was use simple o-the-shelf IDE hard drive technology; look at any IBM or clone system made after 1986 or so and they have the same drive scheme/mechanism inside. Nothing special about the Vulcan's technology other that it's overpriced.

I had a Vulcan20 crap out on me not too long ago. It cost me about $70 to figure out it's a waste of time to get the Vulcan replaced or fixed or anything. So I ordered a Pegasus42i from Econ. It's basically the same as the Vulcan, but it's SCSI, so now that I have a CDROM drive I can chain itr off the card, and now that I got a 220meg hard drive, I just pop out the 42meg guts and replace them in no time. Thanks, Econ.
