Apple III q's...

I have an emulator disk (so I am running it as a ][ essentially..)

Anyhow:
a) how can one get stuff off a PC onto some disks ?  (is the serial port
   usable and where could I get some comm software ?)

b) Is/are there sources out there to get the original OS on there
   (the III stuff that is)...  Is it much better than the ][ stuff?

c) Is anyone out there running a PC Unix box that has a utility (source 
   code perhaps) that will accomplish (a) (using dd perhaps?)
