If I remember correctly, there was some fluke disparity between the two
monitors.  The monitors were never the same (the Mac one had better resolution
for one), but the Mac one was supposed to work on the GS; I don't think the GS
one was ever supposed to work on the Mac.  To my knowledge, the Mac one
doesn't work on the GS either (for some reason, <shrug>).
