The moral of the story is to pay shareware fees for those programs that one
deems useful. Many people liked the idea of AZ 1.x, but as you know were put
off by the lack of automatic frequency detection in record/playback. Why on
earth would they pay you for an application that lacked this functionality?
 
When AZ2.0 comes out, and if it has what you claim, then I'm sure you'll 
receive more shareware fees. Of course if you restrict distribution to
AZ1.2 users then you'll only be hurting yourself, and not providing what
could be a very useful tool to the GS community. 
 
As someone interested in sound/music, I'm sure you can rise above certain
other considerations and push the GS to its limits in the S way. Hopefully
you'll share these with the rest of us.
