Questions about the IIGS

I'm on an info-gathering mission for my father, who recently purchased a second-hand Apple IIGS "Woz" edition. The documentation that came with the machine is pretty opaque, so I'm hoping that folks out in netland can help.

1) Where can one get AppleWorks GS these days? I've found books on it in the
bookstore, but the program doesn't appear in Apple's latest catalog. Is there athird-party vendor somewhere who has it for a good price?

2) From what I can tell, the computer has 500K of RAM. What is the best way to go about upgrading?

3) Someone gave Dad an old Apple FilePro Hard Drive. Is there any way to hook
it up to a IIGS? If not, would any old SCSI drive work?

4) Is HyperCard GS worth looking into? I'm pretty familiar with HC for the Mac and I'd like to port some of my stacks for my family if at all possible.

5) A follow-up to (1): are there any vendors who have large stocks of programs
written specifically for the IIGS? Right now, my folks have the old AppleWorks and that's it. I'd certainly like to enlarge the selection...

6) Is the ImageWriter the only printer option? Is there any upgrade possible touse a StyleWriter or a LaserWriter?

Thanks in advance. Replies to the net are great, but I'd really appreciate it
if you could send mail to mjwst11+@pitt.edu, as I don't always have a chance to check the group.
