  Phil! You're missing the point.  You can get a personal newsfeed from
any of a number of sites.  Is your NeXT connected via SLIP to the
campus network? If so, you can read these groups by negotiating with
an off-site newsfeed to get the groups you want.
  Even if you're not hooked up with SLIP, there are also public-access 
newsfeeds, in that you can instruct newsreaders like rn & nn to grab 
news from a particular site. An Ohio State University site carries 
all newsgroups.
