Peter, I'm one who bought the AST Vision + digitizing board and have recently
upgraded it to the Visionary board which comes with Allison digitizing
software plus a "raw data file to 3200 colour converter". I'm a little
confused myself as to who is producing what but the few pages that came with
the upgrade refer to the whole package as "Visionaryn also save a picture in
this format and the authors of Allison software suggest this might be useful
for programmers interested in animation.

     2. You need DMA compatible ram, and the more, the better.

     3. The software is *almost* crash proof.

     4. Compared to Computer Eyes, it captures faster, and B & W pics seem
sharper to me. Colour choices look better to me, too. However, Computer
Eyes has a very versitile software system that, among other things, will let
you save your pics in formats compatible with all Apple / graphix modes.

I did the upgrade route thru LRO and it took a long time; but the improvement
over the old system is significant.

The Visionaryon system lists the address to contact:
New Concepts,
665 West Jackson Street,
Suite 2,
Woodstock, IL,
60098, USA

Or America Online in the Apple II Art and Graphics Forum: AFL Scott.

I'd like to hear from any one else using the Visionaryon Digitizing System.
