That is of course a very subjective thing if you bring in "...at a good
price..."

However, I would like to point out that Quickdraw on a ROM 3 is noticably
faster than on a ROM 1. Some people will probably consider it insignificant,
but I can notice the difference (and did timings when I wrote it for an
enhancement request a few years ago).

Another noticable difference is that you won't ever be able to crash a ROM 3
so you have to turn off the machine and turn it back on... That happens on
ROM 1s. This is much more minor than the first one, it's worth pointing out
though. (it's slightly aggravating not being able to ^openapple-reset out of
one of those oh-so-rare crashes.. heh heh)

So I personally would pick a ROM 3 over a ROM 1. In fact, if anyone wants to
trade a ROM 3 for a //e-upgrade ROM 1, I'd be perfectly happy to do so...heh..

That said, basically the only other advantages the ROM 3 has is "more slots"
effectively, since the mouse works from desktop apps even if slot 4 is set
to "your card" and you don't have to use BOTH (slot 1 or slot 2) and slot 7
for Appletalk. If your machine isn't filled with cards, this is probably
irrelevant.

Other than that, anything else noticably different is normalized with recent
system software.
