GS locking up :(

aNow my GS just locks up during boot time. I can't reset, nor do the self-test.
I must turn the GS off and do a cold boot. What the heck!!! I don't think a
bad sector on my HD would cause a lock up, would it?

I've use diskcheck, ProSEL, Finder verify/validate to check the volume.
Doesn't show any sign of bitmap problems. I do have a TWGS, but I tried it for
a while at 2.8mhz. So that can't be it.

here's my setup again.

ROM 01
4mb DMA card
RF v3.0h rev. D in slot 6, I just upgraded to 1mb ( I've swapped the 256k back;
doesn't seem to be the problem )
TWGS in slot 4

Maxtor LXT-213-SY, SCSI ID 6. Only device in the chain. Remember, I'm having
problems with adding my NEC CDR-36 to it.

self test passed, TWGS test passed, memory test passed, too.

A weird thing is, I have 4 partitions. It seems like only partition 1 would
lockup. I'm running proterm from second partiton, which appears to work fine.
What could cause the machine to lock up like that?

----- this I'm mailing to CVT, but thought I post it anyway, hoping to
get some input... BTW, I know it's not termination or cable problems.
This used to work fine...
