  I now have the technote you speak of, and I did notice that NTSC mode is
different to PAL mode (though oddly enough I could swear my monitor here in
Australia is running off NTSC mode!  Time to double check that).  No doubt
reading the 50/60Hz setting from the BRAM will enable me to select the
approapiate algorithm to use.
