Not so oh uninitiated one. Well, I don't know about IBM's hardware, but
most modern MS-DOS boxes can format, read, and write, 180K, 360K, 720K,
800K, 820K, 830K, 850K, 1.2MB, 1.44MB, 1.49MB, and 1.53MB. And that's
just the 5.25" drive (drive cost: $59 retail). The 3.5" drive can
format, read, and write at: 720K, 800K, 830K, 1.2MB, 1.44MB, 1.49MB,
1.68MB, and 1.74MB (drive cost: again, $59 retail). Of course, most
disk utilities won't recognize all these formats, and you need a 256byte
device driver for all of them to work properly (I use one called
INT13X). Also, with the proper driver, I can read and write Mac and
ProDOS disks on my MS-DOS box.

Snide comment about Apple's support for the IIgs repressed...
I'd like to see full support for MS-DOS formatted disks. But read-only
would be better than nothing.
