Richard, I've done this.

Think carefully if you want to do this - its a LOT of work!

I have a medium sized Tower case with 3 5.25 bays and (originally) 3 3.5 bays.
I've got the motherboard (sans case), 1 3.5 floppy, 1 5.25 floppy, 1 3.5 HD,
1 CD-150 and 1 Syquest mounted in the Tower. It involves a lot of custom
modifications to make it all fit.

I cut a slot out of the back of the Tower for the serial and ADB ports and
all the other ports along the back.

The Apple 3.5 drive won't fit in 1 standard 3.5 bay, it takes 1 and a bit
(ie height) so you lose 1 3.5 bay. Also you need to relocate a small board
which involves some re-wiring. The 5.25 fits in one 5.25 bay, but again you
have to re-locate a board with re-wiring.

The motherboard fits standing on its side if you make custom mountings for it.
The most critical part is providing support for the cards in the slots. That
requires some ingenuity on your part.

The power supply is easy to modify - you just have to cannibalize the
connector from the GS and make _absolutely sure_ that you wire it
correctly. You need a voltmeter to test this.

Its cool when its all done (and working) though!
