Apple HiSpeed SCSI card

Last night I went about moving my GS up to a higher shelf on
my desk, and when I plugged my GS back in, the HD just sat there running.
I unplugged all my cards, and re-seated them, but the symptoms were the same.

I decided to run the /Install disk for System 6 to see if I could
find out if the partitions on my HD were even alive... Obviously it seemed
"dead", since it popped up a message saying GS/OS couldn't read the disk
APPLESCSI.HD.01 (or whatever that # is. :)). I did Initialize just to see
how large the drive would be: 81MB. This would be the entire size of my HD.
So, I figured (with some help with people I know) that either the SCSI card
is hosed, or the HD. Obviously I didn't click on "Initialize"; I didn't want
to format the HD if it was the card...

Is there any way to check the SCSI card (eg. self-check or some other
bullshit like that) to see if IT'S functioning properly; without having to
try the drive out on another SCSI-machine?

If it goes to buying an new SCSI card, hell, i'd do that... I just
want all my data back, that's all. :(.

					Thanx.
