Some time ago there was a thread on how to hook an ImageWriter to a PC. I
kept this thread as I was about to purchase an antique laptop to use for
work purposes (no, I'm not abandoning my Apple //) and want to be able to
use my Imagewriter II.
I recently examined this thread and realized that it was for an
ImageWriter I, not II. I assume that the principles are the same except
the cable. It will require (in my case) a RS232C to DIN 8, if I'm
correct. I have never seen such a cable before and don't know if one
exists or whether it will have to be created.
I did find a DB9 to DIN 8 converter (in a Mac catalogue), but don't know
if a DB9 is the same as a RS232C.
If anyone has successfully hooked up a Imagewriter II to a PC please let
me know how you have done this.
Thanks
