     This already exists. An individual resource is defined by both a
resource type (a 16-bit integer) and a resource ID (a 32-bit integer).
Apple has always defined resources in the type range of $8000-$FFFF, and
allowed developers to define their own application-specific resources in
the range $0001-$7FFF.
