Spending extra $$ on a ZipGS

One purchase I have been considering for awhile is a ZipGS accelerator.
I see that current prices put the 7Mhz/8k model at ~ $140, and the 9MHz/32k
model at ~ $230.

The biggest trouble about such a decision is the possibility of an
upgrade, which was discussed a lot last month or so. Is it better to
buy the cheap model, and do the 12Mhz upgrade (which would cost quite a
bit extra in RAM chips and the fast 65816), or to get the factory specs
9MHz model for the extra money at the risk of either passing over such
an upgrade, or "wasting" the RAMs and higher speed chips with a possible
upgrade (in the future).

One consideration is the heat given off by these things. I don't
have air-conditioning, I already have 4 other cards in my GS, and it looks
like a hot summer this year.
Another concern is the cache RAM. I don't think I'd be happy with the
8k on the cheap model (hence the speed/RAM upgrade question).
