Help me! I am depressed about having a GS!

Oh god, I never thought I would feel this way, but for the first time,
I actually felt the limitation of my GS! Needless to say, it was not
a pleasant feeling.

It all started when I went over to my friend's house, and he had just
upgraded his 286 (yeah, I know, I used to make fun of him, a lot, I
might add..) to a 486DX-(33?), with all the goodies, such as 16 megs
of ram, a 300+ HD, SVGA, soundcard, etc.

The hardware part is not what depressed me, after all, if he wants to
throw his money away on technology that will become obsolete when
the next intel thing becomes available, that's his problem... :)

This is the part that REALLY got me down: I saw the Damn LucasFilm
production of X-Wing!!! That game really, I mean, really, really,
blew me away! I thought I was impressed with Wing Commander (which
I managed to finish in 1.5 days :), but WC was nothing when compared
to X-Wing. (I think my fascination with the Star Wars Trilogy added
immensely to my fixation on X-Wing, but anyway...)

I saw what the X-Wing did, was capable of doing, and realized that
there is NO-WAY-IN-HEAVEN-OR-HELL I would ever see anything even
close to X-Wing on the GS, and that really saddened me.

Oh well, maybe it's really time for me to move on...

[wiping a sad tear away as I type this...]

Speech Absolutist, unless it's usless and idiotic posts from Fether. HA!)
