Yes, we did, and I'm glad someone blew the whistle before this gets
out of hand again.

Its sad when one person posts a perfectly harmless and supportive
message of an Apple II product, and another sees it as an attack
requiring a negative count-post. All that ever leads to is an online
flame war. That's why so many people that used to make this newsgroup
fun to read have long since left.

The comment to our ProLine press release was fair, professional, and
supportive. It never once mentioned another product or slipped in any
side commentary about any other BBS. I want to express my appreciation
for those MDG customers who, like David Green, remain professional and
refrain from engaging in the enevitable banter that leads to punches and
blows. That only harms the developers who are working hard to produce
their programs because their users begin to look like a bunch of twits.

I'd love nothing more than to see lots and lots of positive messages
about ProLine, METAL, GBBS, and other products. It is not the mission
of MDG or its customers to stifle productive discussions here, but we
will not tolerate any senseless bickering or barbs. It's time to clean
up this group.
