The journaling code is deep in the event manager in ROM and would require a lot
of duplication to fix. It wouldn't be a good idea for someone outside of Apple
to try. Matt never specified what the bug was and the ROM 3 code looks ok, w/o
studying it in detail.

Try tracing through RunQ. It is a Swiss (maybe French) menu bar program
launcher like TransProg. I think the author is Marcel Egloff. It intercepts
mouse clicks using journaling and seemed to work when I used to have it
installed.
