I meant that _others_ can internationalize/customize a program
easily if you use resources. For example, there's a French version
available of my NDA Big Edit Thing. I certainly don't know French and the
person who translated it doesn't know how to program. I see this as a
very cool thing.

Did I say you must be using a resource compiler to tweak a resource?
No. Again, if you use a resource _editor_ to build your interface you
don't have to go through the "tweak, compile, run, ewww-ick-ugly, repeat"
process. Resources can take your interface away from the painfully slow
and annoying compile process.

All I can say is, "What in the world are you talking about?" You keep
making these annoying and baseless statements and then never back them up
with anything useful or constructive. How, in your opinion, is Finder
"too dependent" on information that it needs to get its job done?

Think of the Resource Manager as a simple yet powerful database
manager. If you use it you don't have to reinvent the wheel every time
you want to access data. But, then again, you might like doing that sort
of thing.
