I guess the Hierarchic init does not support window menu bars.

No, there are no plans at the moment.

I know, but I think it's easier to press option-{,[ for beautiful quotes than
always toggling one preference. No?

No, I simply change the coordinates of the upper left corner of the dialog.
Templates use a lot of space, that's why I didn't want to define two.

Ok, maybe I add an "Append" checkbox to the open dialog.

Pixels and points are the same on the screen, not on the printer.
I don't think BET does this (nor the AWGS WP). It's very complicated and needs
a lot of calculating stuff...
The ruler reflects a setting that you will mostly use (IW Condensed, Deskjet
Best, etc.)
