HELP: LaserWriter and GS

I am in the market for an inexpensive laser printer and was looking at the
Apple Laserwriter Select 300.  My key interests are that it work on the IIgs
and Mac, and that it is Appletalk networkable.  I know that the Select 300
networks via Grayshare software, but does this mean it works as an Appletalk
accessible printer on a network?  The Select 300 is not Postscript
compatible, but a Postscript option card can be added.  Will the Postscript
option card give the printer GS compatibility?
