...but the utility you mentioned won't work with TrueType fonts and
font suitcases since those are stored in forked files.  I _am_ the
original poster; the MacBinary question was in relation to moving
*.bin files containing fonts off a UNIX box to my IIGS.

In any case, I managed to borrow a 3.5" drive from somebody, FTP'd the
fonts off of the UNIX box to a Mac LC (talk about a machine that's
slow as sin--ugh), copied the files to floppies, and brought them
home.  Before Pointless would recognize the fonts, though, I had to
copy them to a ProDOS volume and change the filetype to $C8/$0001...
I didn't have it try to read the fonts directly from the Mac-formatted
floppy and the FST doesn't properly translate the Mac's
filetype/creator info to the II's filetype/auxtype.
