I'll tell you what... I'm interested in it, but if you've ever looked at
the source for PBMPLUS, you'll see it's quite large, intertwined, and like
all things good, would be a project and a half.  Since I don't have the
source here right now (I have it at work), I'll try a shot at fbm first 
(I have all the source here) after Allison 2.0 becomes more than just
a gleam in a visionaries eyes (that should be very soon).  First things
first, though... both my hard disks when belly up finally so now I can 
only read off one and use the other one as a doorstop.  I'm going to buy
a new drive and then the race is on.

ImageMagick is a set of conversion programs along the lines of PBMPLUS.  
I've not used them, but have them installed at work.  Some people like
them better than PBM.  Me, I'll take Khoros any day. :-)
