Why do they cost so much?

I have one question.

Why do Apple //'s (//c, //e, IIgs) cost so much!! They can't be that 
expensive to manufacture!! (I'm only going by the for sale prices I've seen 
in this newsgroup. What does a new Apple // cost nowadays?)
