The '816 to my knowledge is only used in the GS and SNES. Mitsubishi makes a
'816 varient called the 37700 which is essentially binary-compatible with the
65816 excecpt they used the WDM hook to add in a second accumulator and
multiply and divide. The '7700 also has a ton of on-board I/O stuff, so it
may soon be lurking in dishwashers, microwaves, TVs, VCRs, etc, etc soon :)
The 6502 is used in the following machines I can think of...
All Atari 8-bit machines (400 -> 1400XL).
Most Commodore 8-bit machines (PET -> C128) (I know, the 64 and 128 use a 6510,
but there's not much difference :)
Many Commodore peripherals for the 8-bitters (the 1541 disk drive for example).
Some Apple peripherals (the UniDisk 3.5, Workstation Card, and EtherTalk card).
The IIe card for the Mac LC and Color Classic.
