Apple //e emulator from Simtel

I found an emulator on the Simtel CD-ROM archive that apparently perfectly
emulates an Apple //e under MS-DOS.  The format it uses to represent the disk
in the Apple's drive is a 143k+ (exactly the size of a DOS 3.3 disk) binary
file, apparently a byte-for-byte image of the disk.

This begs the question: any ideas for transferring an Apple //e disk to an
MS-DOS file?

Obviously the author must have done it in the first place, but as I am at uni
and my computer is at home I don't know his name or username offhand.
