One more silly question, they'll write to disk, as well?  If so, it seems as
though it's just plain silly to buy a superdrive, since the floptical will
do so...

the floptical is obviously a different mechanism than the one in apple 3.5"
800k non-superdrive drives, so then IF an fst were available, would MS-DOS
read be available?
