- Summary: need info!
The public access Unix that I get to Usenet from (Grex, 313-761-3000,
the most fun you can have with your modem! :) ) recently was donated an
Apple //e. I'm a // users (maybe some of you have seen my UnZIPer? And
3 of you actually sent me money? And the rest of you are getting around to
it? :) ).... Anyway, we were hoping to use it to answer the phone when
Grex goes down for more than a few hours. The only thing is, it has an
oddball serial card in it--an ALS serial card.
So, the thing I need to know, is if anyone has any info on these.
A BBS scripting language that supports it would, of course, be nice, but
details on softswitches and stuff that I'd need to know would be good, as
well. Is anyone actually running one of these? I haven't written anything
to talk with serial cards before, though I have experience with assembly,
I'm a little bit wary - is there anything I should be careful of with this?
Thanks for any info!
