Sorry, but UMDSS is not UUCP. It doesn't support UUCP-g or any of the other
UUCP protocols.
Yes, its the closest thing to UUCP that a GS has (at this moment) but no, it
is not UUCP. It's based on the principals of UUCICO and uses a master/slave
role switching scheme to do it's xfers.
I have begun working on a UUCICO front end w/ UUCP-g for METAL that when
done, will be completely Taylor compatible.
I'm still kind of confused on why Morgan chose to continue to write UMDSS when
UUCICO is "basically" the same thing. If he would have just written a UUCP-g
protocol for ModemWorks, it would have been much easier on him. Oh well.
UMDSS is a good system, depending on what you want to do with it. Maybe you
could post some more information on what you are trying to accomplish?
