        Ahh, you ask easy questions.  Assuming you have a //c (as
mentioned) and not a //c+, you will need to find a serial printer cable. 
Note that this is not the same as a modem cable, but it will look the same.
        Secondly, get a printer with a serial (DB-25) connection.  I know
that the HP DeskJet and Canon LPB-8 mark III laser printers have these
connections.
        Then, in AppleWorks, you will need to set up a custom printer for
your printer (unless your printer is already on the list).  I have heard
that Claris will help you out with this.
        If you purchased the HP DeskJet, call Quality Computers
(1-800-777-3642) and order yourself SuperPatch 8.0 (about $40).  This
program, in addition to providing 150+ patches for AW, includes a patch for
creating 2 printers for the DeskJet - one in portrait mode, and the other
in landscape mode.  I have used this, and it works great - with one small
exception.  The LPI settings have a l (small ell) instead of a 1 (number
one) - or maybe it's the other way.  Other than that, it ran perfectly!
