Well, for starters, MTP is a MIDI sequencing program, and it does not support
the IIgs internal sound hardware.  It only plays via MIDI.  Assuming your
keyboard is connected to a MIDI interface, you probably need to at least
install the MIDI drivers from /SystemTools1 or -2 (sorry :).  Then you pull
down MTP's rightmost menu and select the appropriate interface (note that MTP
doesn't support the Audio Animator directly).  Once this is done, you should
be able to at least have songs play on your keyboard.

Recording is trickier because most Casio stuff assumes running status mode and
the MIDI Tools are kinda finicky about how they initialize their state machine.
In a nutshell, to get MTP or other MIDI tools based software (midiSynth is
more intelligently coded and immune to this gremlin) you must turn the Casio's
function selector to Normal, click Record in MTP, and then put the Casio on
"MIDI" and start playing.  Definitely a hassle.
