problems with soundsmith

Hi,

i downloaded about every version of Soundsmith I found but
none of them worked. I think it is a configuration problem.
The program just crashes to the textscreen saying "cannot
load tools". I am using system 5.04 with an SCSI hard drive.
Soundsmith is the only program that causes such a problem.
I also wondered about the size of the .exe file contained
in the Soundsmith archive. The finder reports about 400Kb
for the file itself but only about 80Kb used on disk.
My Apple IIgs has 1.2 Meg of RAM.

Thank you for any help. I'm currently using Noisetracker
to listen to my music files but I'm sure that some of
them sound much better under Soundsmith itself.
